THE ROC: Dress Codes & Behavior
Our goal and desire is to honor God in every aspect of our ministry. We ask that you adhere to the following guidelines in your participation at the ROC.
- Modesty - clothing must be modest and in good taste. Shirts and shorts must be worn at all times, loose fitting, and a modest length. Only proper court shoes will be allowed on the gym floors.
- Clothing - Any print or writing on clothing must be fitting for a Christian environment. Clothing depicting or promoting alcohol or tobacco, offensive language, or crude behavior will not be tolerated.
- Speech - "Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, that it may give grace to those who hear." Eph. 4:29
- Fighting - Fighting or horseplay will not be tolerated and is subject to automatic loss of privileges at the ROC.
- Discipline - Willful violation of any policy concerning the ROC could lead to a loss of privileges at the ROC.
- Stewardship - God has blessed us with this facility for the purpose of ministry. It is our desire to take good care of what God has provided so that this facility will honor Him and provide many years of service for His kingdom purposes. Misuse of equipment and furnishings, or lack of respect for the building itself will be subject to loss of privileges. All sports equipment must be checked out at the Reception Counter. Please do not bring personal equipment into the building. Hanging or climbing on the basketball rims, nets, or supports will not be tolerated. Objects should not be thrown to or from the walking track area.
- Food - Food, drink, or gum are generally prohibited in the ROC, except for banquets.
