Serve Your City

The Great Commission (Matthew 28:18–20) was given to the church and is to be carried out in our own community and around the world. Our desire is to be a regional church that serves the cities and communities where we live, work, and go to school. The local church should not consume from the community but instead should give back in many different ways as we carry the gospel message to our neighbors. Our mission is to bring the light of the gospel to our community through personal evangelism and to serve others in the name of Jesus. We believe God has called us to reach our community and to reach the nations. So we do not prioritize one over the other - the mission of the church is both local and global at the same time.

TCBC Ministries

TCBC provides local missions opportunities to meet needs in our city and engage the lost with the good news of the gospel.

City Ministries

TCBC hosts community outreach events on the third Saturday of each month.

Keystone Bible Study and Fellowship

Every month TCBC teams host an evening event for adults and kids living in the Keystone community of Johnson City. Residents gather for fellowship and a light meal, followed by a Bible study for adults and fun learning time for kids. In this setting our teams can get to know residents better, talk about spiritual needs and pray together, and aid spiritual growth through worship and study.

The Saturday evening event is a great introduction for anyone wanting to serve as part of a local outreach ministry.

It's a great opportunity for Life Groups to serve together, provide a meal or help with kids games.

When: 6:00 pm on the third Saturday of every month at Keystone Recreation Center, Johnson City, TN.

Food Box Distribution

TCBC teams deliver food boxes in the Keystone and Memorial Park communities of Johnson City. Residents receiving food boxes are often open to talking about spiritual needs and letting us pray for them, which opens the door for gospel conversations.

When: 10:00 am on the third Saturday of each month

Safe Families Safe Families for Children  expands the community safety net by providing parents in need with mentoring relationships and tangible support in times of crisis. Safe Families for Children believes children will be safe and well cared for if families in crisis have a network of support. The program provides opportunities to serve as a host family or provide babysitting, transportation, and respite care for host families. Meeting needs for diapers, meals, beds, clothing, etc. is also a great help to host families.
