Featured Serving Opportunities:

Where most needed: Serve scores of new families and children who now call TCBC home by joining Campus Security or NextGen Preschool/Children's ministries.

For the summer: Keep your skills sharp and help ease the summer vacation crunch by serving one morning or afternoon per week as a Church Office Receptionist.

Make a lasting impression: – A friendly wave in the parking lot, a warm smile at the door and a hot cup of coffee puts people at ease to receive the gospel. The Hospitality Team is committed to delivering a great guest experience.

For the kid at heart: - Upward Sports Ministry opens doors for TCBC to invest in children and reach unchurched families.



Campus Operations

Campus Security Team: The Security team is dedicated to the protection of everyone on our campus. Rotating schedules, training provided. Open to men and women. Background verification required.

Baptism Helper: Want a front row seat to see God at work? Sign up to assist baptismal candidates with towels, transistions and supplies. Be blessed with the joy of being part of a monumental event in the life of a believer.

Church Multiplication

Launch Venue Hospitality Team - Join an emerging ministry as a catalyst for church multiplication. Greet and welcome guests, engage people in conversation, provide refreshments, set up and tear down - this group is willing to do whatever it takes to be on mission and see TCBC multiply itself through new campuses and/or church planting. Serve on-campus one Sunday/month.

CrossLife Church Child Care Helper - Curious about church planting? Get a close-up look and meet a vital need by ministering to children 3-7yrs. One Sunday per month, 9:45am to 11:45am, at CrossLife Church in Johnson City. Six month term.


Compassion Ministry

Keystone Recreation Center – Build relationships with, minister to and supervise children who are using Keystone recreation facility (gym, table games, crafts, computer lab, homework). 2-hr shifts weekly afternoons between 3-7.

Keystone Food Boxes – Minister to and build relationships with families by delivering boxes of food to Keystone homes. Third Saturday each month, 10am to noon.

TouchPoint Military Ministry Letter Writer – Write letters to military men and women deployed overseas.

TouchPoint Military Outreach to Veteran's Hospital – Join with a team and spread cheer, serve snacks and drinks, and pray with patients. Two hour visit, one Sunday afternoon monthly.

TouchPoint Hands of Faith Community Ministry – Men and women to serve cancer patients of all ages, their families and caregivers. Pray and encourage; provide hats, lap blankets, care baskets, and meals.

TouchPoint Food Pantry – Support receiving food donations, organizing storage and distributing products to families in need. Thursdays 4pm-6pm


Hospitality Team

First Impressions Team Greeter - Do you have a cheerful smile and enjoy welcoming people? Present a positive first impression to guests visiting our campus. A friendly smile and warm greeting makes guest feel at home and ready to receive God's Word. Serve one Sunday per month.

Parking Attendant - A smiling face and friendly wave in the parking lot is a vital first contact for guests visiting our campus. Join the Hospitality team and serve one Sunday per month.

Coffee Service - Warm the atmosphere with a hot cup of coffee and join the conversations that follow! Staff a coffee station and greet people one Sunday per month from 9:15am to 10:15am

Usher - Men to welcome people as they enter auditorium, hand out worship folders, take up offering.

Adult Sunday School Connectors – Build relationships with new attenders and member prospects; help them connect to Sunday School groups. Follow-up to foster continuing connection.

Ministry Mobilization

Ministry Mobilization Team – Support emerging ministry to equip volunteers and leaders to serve. Connectors, interviewers, leader equipping, admin and technical support.


NextGen Ministry

NextGen Ministry Host – Extend a warm welcome to children and parents arriving for Sunday School or AWANA; ensure check-in line flows smoothly; support computer check-in process. Assist first-time visitors with forms and badges. 30 minutes before class Sunday mornings or Wednesday evenings.

Volunteers in Preschool (VIPs) – Engage preschoolers in worship, teach them about Jesus, attend to their basic needs. Serve during Sunday School, Sunday morning worship, Sunday evening or Wednesday evening services.

MOPPETS Helper – Teach a simple, prepared curriculum about Jesus to children in our care during MOPS Meetings. Opportunities for women, men, or teenagers who demonstrate a love for young children to serve once a month on either Thursday night or Friday morning.

Preschool Stocker – Stock classrooms with baby changing supplies and snacks when classrooms are empty (Friday after 5:30 pm, Saturday, or Sunday morning at 8:30 am).

Preschool Supply Technician – Maintains supplies in the Preschool supply closet, fills orders from teachers, notifies Director when additional supplies need to be purchased.

Preschool Craft Resource Assistant Review monthly Sunday School curriculum and select craft that complements weekly lesson. Prepare craft as example and generate list of supplies needed to complete the craft in class.

AWANA Preschool Memory Verse Listeners – Greet parents and children in classroom and assist with sign-in. During first 10 minutes of class listen to Cubbies children (3 and 4 years old) recite weekly memory verses Wednesday evenings during AWANA.

Preschool and Children’s Ministry Event Supporters – Leaders and supporters for VBS and other children’s events

AWANA Children’s Section Listeners – Greet parents and children in classroom and assist with sign-in. Listen to children (5-12 years old) say “sections” during AWANA handbook time on Wednesday evenings.


Office and Clerical

Church Office Receptionist – Greet office visitors, answer phone and perform light clerical tasks one morning or afternoon per week. Regular and on-call roles available.

Life Impact University Helper - Set up classrooms with supplies and student roster, greet arriving LIU students and direct them to classes, assist with the collection of class fees and distribution of books. 1-2 hours on Wednesday evenings during LIU semester with the option to attend classes.

Word Processor - Work with leader of Creative Team to update text on church website and in weekly handout. Good word processing skill and precise formatting. 1-2 hours per week, flexible, at home.

Media Administrative Assistant – Provide administrative support to the Media Arts Team Director through creating and publishing a weekly schedule for team members at each worship venue; assist in organizing and facilitating media team ministry events.

General Office Clerk – Miscellaneous office tasks as needed such as basic clerical or assembling notebooks and gift bags.


Sports Ministry

Upward Coach – Lead a team of children participating in Upward soccer, basketball, flag football or cheerleading. 8-week season; 1 hour game on Saturdays; 1 hour weeknight practice.

Upward Referee – Referee children’s games of soccer, basketball or flag football. 8-week season; 1 hour game on Saturdays.

Upward Halftime Devotional – Render brief devotional at halftime to children and parents participating in children’s soccer, basketball, flag football or cheerleading. 8-week season; game on Saturdays.

Upward Basketball Scoreboard Operator – Operate basketball time clock and update team score. January - February; 1 hour game on Saturdays.

Upward Assistant Commissioner – Follow-up with families on spiritual decisions made as a result of Upward sports ministry; connect the family to church discipleship ministries. 8-week season.

Upward Evaluations – Follow script to evaluate children’s abilities for purpose of creating balanced teams. Enter results into computer system. (2 days)

Upward Registration – Greet children and parents as they arrive for registration (2 days)

Upward Advertising – Help spread the word about Upward sports opportunities for children.


Worship and Media

Celebration Choir Member – Join others in singing God’s praises and leading the congregation in worship. Sunday morning services, Wednesday evening rehearsal.

Celebration Orchestra – Serve with worship team at various venues depending on instrument and current openings. High school age and above plus minimum of 2 years music reading and proficiency on instrument. Rehearse Wednesday evenings and one hour before worship service.

Media Team – Camera operators, sound technicians, video and lighting specialists serve in rotating schedule at campus worship venues. 13 years old and up. Experience is great but willingness to learn and a servant’s spirit is all that is required.

Videographer – Shoot specific video sequences to support church promotions and campaigns.

Graphic Design - Collaborate with Creative Team; develop brochures, promo materials, ministry publications. Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or InDesign.

Graphic Production - Collaborate with Creative Team to create specialized mini movies and short illustrations for video bumpers and sermons using Adobe AfterEffects, Final Cut, Adobe Premiere, or Sony Vegas.
