Why Membership Matters:

In light of the example of the early church, biblical church leadership, and our mutual responsibility for discipline and edification, local church membership should be viewed as an act of obedience.

Believers are commanded to live in fellowship with one another. This involves transparency and vulnerability as well as trusting, encouraging, admonishing, teaching, correcting, and helping one another.

Sharing the love and hope found in Jesus is a joint mission.
We exist to worship and glorify God. As members of a local church body, we are commanded to gather regularly and worship Him in song and proclamation of His Word.
Discipleship does not occur in isolation. The local church has been designed to function together in community to build one another up to maturity.
The church is healthy only when individual members are utilizing their gifts to serve one another and therefore building up the body of Christ.
