About Church Multiplication

Tri-Cities desires to be a multiplying church that sends people out (Acts 13:1-3) to go and make disciples and to teach those disciples (Matthew 28:18-20). The church is God's plan to reach people with the gospel. Healthy, reproducing churches are necessary to carry the good news to people that are far from God. Church multiplication, therefore, is a natural outcome of disciple making. Church planting allows us to meet both the spiritual and physical needs of a community while being contextualized for the local culture. We would call this being gospel-centered while remaining culturally relevant.

Tri-Cities partners with the North American Mission Board (NAMB) to be a “multiplying church.” NAMB describes a multiplying church as: "A multiplying church is committed to an intentional process for discovering, developing, and deploying leaders for North America and the world. A multiplying church is also committed to sending out church planters, supporting church planters, and planting churches."

Remedy City – Portland Oregon
In 2015 Tri-Cities sent out Josh and Amy Carter to plant a church in Portland. Josh has planted Remedy City Church in the Bethany community.

Cory and Emily Sanders were sent in January 2016 to join the Remedy City Church team to help with family ministry, communications and evangelism.

Our Campuses

Tri-Cities Baptist Church is one church gathering in two locations: Gray and Johnson City. In January of 2014, Tri-Cities launched the Johnson City campus. Through this campus Tri-Cities equips our members who reside in south Johnson City communities to love, serve and reach their neighbors with the Gospel of Christ. Find service times and directions to each campus.
